Calvary Baptist Day School began the high school program in the fall of 1997 with a freshman class of 21 students. The current enrollment in the high school is approximately 200 students. The current enrollment in Calvary Baptist Day School, Early Education-12th grade, is approximately 740 students. The high school is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Association of Christian Schools International.

The high school program of Calvary Baptist Day School has a staff of twenty-seven faculty. Twelve members of the staff hold advanced degrees.course of study
Striving to achieve excellence in academics, Calvary Baptist Day School offers a college preparatory curriculum through honors and Advanced Placement classes. Calvary Baptist Day School has dual enrollment agreements with the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Wake Forest University, High Point University, and Forsyth Technical Community College. Online classes are available.Students enrolled in Honors or Advanced Placement classes have been recommended by their teachers based upon grades and standardized testing results. Credits are awarded on an annual basis.
CBDS operates on a seven period schedule. Students attend six rotating classes per day which meet four times each week. Students are required to complete at least 6 hours of community service per quarter.

Advanced Placement (AP) courses are offered in nine areas. CBDS requires all students enrolled in AP classes to take the exams. Of 114 exams taken in 2006, 89% received scores of 3 or higher. 60% scored 4 or higher.| Exam | # Taking | % Scoring 3 or higher |

CBDS does not rank students numerically. A yearly and a cumulative GPA are calculated at the end of each year, based on the grade for each course completed. The cumulative ranking in quintiles is determined at the conclusion of six semesters and is used when required for college admission and honors determination.average sat scores
