The Coach: Lori Heath

Lori grew up in Forsyth County and played volleyball, basketball, and softball through out her high school career. Upon graduation from high school she began college at Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, Tennessee. At TTU Lori lettered in collegiate volleyball all four years and played for the collegiate basketball team for two years. She made the all conference team in both basketball and volleyball. Lori graduated from TTU with a BS in Biology and a minor in Bible and in Physical Education and Coaching in 1999.

After graduation, Lori stayed at the University as an assistant volleyball coach, P.E. teacher, and Special event coordinator for the athletic department for one year. In 2001, she moved to Tallahassee, Florida to teach and coach at North Florida Christian School. There she was the JV volleyball head coach and t he Varsity assistant basketball coach.

Lori moved back to Winston-Salem in 2002 and began work at West Forsyth High School as a teacher, JV volleyball head coach and the Varsity assistant basketball coach. Upon the arrival of her first child, a daughter named Lorelai, Lori decided to take a ½ year off. Later, she returned to teaching and coaching at East Forsyth High School. There she was the JV basketball head coach for one year and the varsity assistant coach for one year.

This is Lori’s first year at Calvary and she is very excited to work with the younger girls this year. She looks forward to showing them things about basketball that they never knew before.

Lori has been married for four years to Britt Heath. Her daughter, Lorelai is two years old, and she expecting another child in April.
