What is the dress code? Do the children wear uniforms?
The goal of our dress code is to help students choose appropriate clothing for the purposes of Christian education. All dress is to be modest, neat and clean. Children wear their own clothes. We do not currently use uniforms. Pre-K through 3rd grade students may wear shorts. We ask that students not wear halter tops, tank tops, nor clothing with inappropriate logos. Enclosed footwear should be worn, and on scheduled gym days, students should wear or bring shoes which do not leave marks on the gym floor. Students in 4th and 5th grades may wear KNEE LENGTH shorts as well as jeans that are clean and neat. In addition, girls may wear KNEE LENGTH dresses or skirts. The following styles are not appropriate for school wear: nylon athletic style shorts, halter tops, tank tops, short skirts, leggings, or clothing with inappropriate logos. Enclosed footwear is to be worn. Shoes which do not mark the gym floor should be worn or brought to school on scheduled gym days. Students who are not dressed according to policy will be asked to call a parent. A more detailed explanation is contained in the Parent/Student Handbook.
